PARGETER FAMILY TREE

My name is Dorothy Glassborow and together with my husband, David, live in Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, England.

One of our hobbies is Genealogy and we are currently starting to collect information that will enable us to compile Family Trees covering the family name of PARGETER and its alternatives. Initially we are concentrating on families based in Great Britain although we anticipate extending the information to the rest of the world eventually. It will become a "One Name Study" and will not be restricted only to my own immediate family group.

My mother was a Pargeter hence our interest. There is a concentration of Pargeter ancestry in the geographical area of south Warwickshire, north Oxfordshire and parts of Northamptonshire (all in England). By way of interest, one of George Washington's sixteenth century ancestors was Amy Pargeter from Northamptonshire and we hope to be able to identify her family connections.

The purpose of publishing this web site is to invite anybody who has an interest, or knowledge of people with the name of Pargeter (or its variants) to contact us. Maybe we can provide mutual help to each other.
